Who are we?

The Sciences Po Cybersecurity Association (SCA) is run by graduate students at Sciences Po in Paris. It was founded in 2019 by two students from who wanted to show the relevance of cybersecurity in political sciences and geopolitics.

Why cybersecurity?

Cybersecurity often gets left on the sidelines of security and policy studies. The SCA creates a space for students and faculty from the university and beyond to discuss cybersecurity news, build skills, and connect with others in the space.

With cyberattacks on the rise and cybersecurity becoming more important in how governments, countries, and citizens negotiate their daily life, we invite all Science Po students to explore the exciting world of cyber.

What do we do?

During term time, we hold free and open discussions, workshops, movie screening, and social and networking events. All are welcome (yes, you) !

Our conferences and round tables bring in high-level speakers from the public sector, private companies, academia, and civil society, discussing the geopolitical, legal, ethical, and regulatory stakes of cybersecurity and new technologies more broadly. Our hands-on workshops for students to develop their HTML and network administration or cybersecurity hygiene. Finally, our movie screenings and social events allow students to meet like-minded people, while our networking events with alumni help create career opportunities.

We also have a monthly newsletter (you can check it out here) and an academic journal (here) for students to contribute to.

We often partner with other student organizations from Sciences Po and around Paris (if you’d like to work with us, contact us!).

What about you? I’m feeling lucky.
