Since the October 7th attack, disinformation related to the Israel-Hamas conflict and the situation in Gaza has spread massively on social media platforms. Four experts from Rand, the Digital Forensic Lab, and the International Crisis Group discuss the significance and repercussions of this surge in disinformation, including information manipulation and the struggle for narrative control.
This event will feature several high-profile speakers. Todd C. Helmus and William Marcellino are both Senior Behavioural Scientists at the RAND Institute, Alessandro Accorsi is a Senior Analyst on Social Media and Conflict at the International Crisis Group, and Dina Sadek is a Middle East research fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab.
